Who struggles to get a good night’s sleep because their spouse is snoring like a freight train? Don’t be shy, raise your hands.
Yep, just as I suspected–lots of you.
Believe it or not, my Hubby is one of those people who can’t sleep because I’m the one who can’t stop snoring. It got so bad that I even had a “sleep test” a few years ago to see if I had sleep apnea (I don’t).
I’ve tried Breathe-Rite strips, extra pillows, sleeping on my side…nothing helped. There are lots of gizmos you can put on your face and mouth, but they look like medieval torture devices.
See what I mean? That looks downright scary.
After we started using essential oils to improve our health, I figured I’d give them a try to help me stop snoring. I tried a few different combinations and found one that works perfectly.
How to Stop Snoring, Naturally
Mild Snoring
At bedtime, mix 2 drops of Respiratory Blend with 2 drops of fractionated coconut oil (FCO) and rub on chest. Or diffuse Respiratory Blend next to the bed.
Moderate Snoring
At bedtime, mix 2 drops of Respiratory Blend with 2 drops of FCO and rub on chest. Put 2 drops of Protective Blend in ½ cup of water. Gargle and spit out.
Freight-train Snoring
At bedtime, mix 1 drop of Cypress essential oil with 2 drops of FCO and rub on throat. Mix 1 drop of Thyme essential oil with 4 drops of FCO and rub on big toes. (I mix these up ahead of time in rollerball bottles.) Diffuse Respiratory Blend next to the bed–this is the diffuser I use.
I bet you can guess which method I use, huh? The freight-train version does the trick for me. And it only takes 2 seconds to apply! Learn about the premium essential oils I use and recommend.
Nothing beats a good night’s sleep–right?
